You can add a vehicle to your Garage in just a few steps. The app gives you two easy options. You can add your vehicle using the VIN which can be found on your registration or title, insurance card, driver side dashboard, driver side door frame or owner’s manual. You can also add your vehicle using your license plate and the state.
Can I add more than one vehicle?
With the free version of the app, you can add up to 10 vehicles to your garage.
How do I switch between vehicles?
You can quickly switch between vehicles at any time. Swipe left or right on the vehicle image at the top of any screen.
Document Wallet (Important Documents)
What documents can I store in the wallet?
The Wallet lets you store important vehicle and driver documents securely in one place. You can use the Wallet to save documents such as driver’s license, registration, proof of insurance, receipts, permits and any other documents you want to keep handy.
How do I add a document?
You can add documents from the Wallet module by taking a photo of the document or selecting a photo from your phone’s photo library.
Are my documents stored securely?
We take document security seriously and follow AWS security and cyber security best practices, including encrypting data while it is stored and transmitted and making data accessible only through your authenticated account in the app.
Who can see my documents?
By default, only you can see your documents stored in the wallet. You can choose to let others view certain documents by sharing a vehicle through the app.
Will I be notified when a document is about to expire?
When a document in your Wallet is nearing its expiration date, you will receive a notification in the Notification section within the app. Expirations alerts are shown in-app only. We recommend checking your notifications regularly to make sure you don’t miss an alert.
Can I access my documents offline?
Yes. Documents you’ve already added to the app are available offline, so you can access them even when you don’t have an internet connection. If you add a document while offline, it will be saved locally to your device and will automatically sync to your account once internet connectivity is restored.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Nothing happens to your data if you lose the phone. Your vehicles, documents and other app data are securely stored in the cloud and tied to your account – not your device. When you sign in on a new device, your data will automatically sync and be available again.
Can I delete or replace a document?
Yes. You have full control over your documents. Once a document is deleted, it will no longer be available in the app.
Service Log & Maintenance
How do I add a service or repair record?
You can keep track of all your vehicle maintenance by adding a service record in the Service section in the app. Enter the details of the service including service type, date of service, and mileage.
Can I upload invoices or receipts?
Yes. You can take a photo of the receipt or invoice directly in the app or upload a photo from your photo library.
Can my mechanic add service records?
Integration with auto service software is being planned for a future version of the app and is not available now.
Will the app remind me of upcoming services?
Service reminders help you stay on top of maintenance and keep your vehicle in top condition. When a reminder is set for upcoming maintenance or service tasks, you’ll receive a notification in the app when service is due. We recommend checking your notifications regularly to make sure you don’t miss an alert.
Can I track mileage, fuel, or maintenance costs?
We’re working on these features to help you get a complete view of your vehicle’s usage and expenses. Stay tuned for updates in the app!
Can I export my service history?
Not yet. Exporting service records is planned for a future release. You can let others see your service records by sharing the vehicle through the app.
What happens to my service records if I sell my car?
Whenever you’re ready, you can delete the vehicle from your garage – this will delete all associated documents and service records from your account. If you want to pass on your service history to the new owner, you can contact our support team to arrange a secure transfer.
Learning Videos
Are the videos specific to my car model?
Our content is carefully curated to provide guidance that is accurate. All videos in the Learn section are specific to your vehicle’s make, model and year.
How do I find videos for a specific feature?
All videos in the Learn section include a description so you can quickly see what each video covers. You can also search for a specific video by typing in keywords related to the topic you are looking for.
Can I download videos for offline viewing?
No. Videos in the Learn section can only be viewed within the app.
Can I request a video for a specific topic?
Yes. We love hearing from our users about what content would be helpful. If you’d like a new video added, just email us with your request. Our team reviews suggestions and works to add content that helps drivers like you.
Costs & Availability
Is the app free?
Yes. The app is completely free to use. We do have plans to introduce optional premium features and in-app purchases in a future release, but the core functionality will remain free.
Will my data be lost if I change phones?
Your data will not be lost. All information is securely stored in the cloud, so you can log in from a new device and continue using the app as before.
Vehicle Changes & Ownership
What happens if I sell my car?
Whenever you’re ready, you can delete the vehicle from your garage – this will delete all associated documents and service records from your account. If you want to pass on your service history to the new owner, you can contact our support team to arrange a secure transfer.
How do I remove a vehicle?
You can delete the car from the Garage module. Please note: all service records, photos, and documents associated with that vehicle will also be permanently deleted. How to Video’s and the vehicle’s user manual will also be removed from the Learn module.
Can I transfer my data to a new car?
No. All information in the app is specific to a vehicle’s VIN number, so it cannot be transferred to a different car. You’ll need to add the new vehicle in the Garage module to track its service records, photos, and documents and to access the video library and user manual.
What happens if I change my email?
Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner of the home screen and choose Help to email us directly to request a change in your email. Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner of the home screen and choose Profile to change other information.

Is this app connected to my vehicle's onboard system?
Integration with a vehicle’s on-board system is being planned for a future version of the app.
Does the app support fleet or company vehicles?
Yes. The app supports up to 10 vehicles in the free version. For fleets or company accounts that require managing more than 10 vehicles, please contact us about pricing and additional details.
Can I use the app for motorcycles or other vehicles?
Adding other types of vehicles—like motorcycles, boats, or RVs—is a planned freemium feature and will be available in a future release.
Coupons & Service Offers
Who provides these coupons?
We are building a nationwide partnership network to provide exclusive pricing on all the services you need to maintain and upgrade your vehicle. Coupons come directly from our partnered service providers, ensuring you get legitimate deals you can use with confidence.
Are coupons free to use?
Yes. RideGuide does not charge any extra fee to access coupons. However, some service partners may charge for the service itself, so be sure to check the details of the offer before redeeming.
Do coupons expire?
Yes. Coupons may have an expiration date or other requirements set by the service provider. Always check the details in the app to ensure your coupon is still valid before redeeming.
Can I sort coupons by type of service?
Yes. You can browse coupons in the app and sort them by type of service. This makes it easy to quick find discounts or offers for the specific maintenance or service your vehicle needs.
Can I find coupons near my location?
The coupon feature uses your phone’s GPS to determine your current location. By default, the filter shows coupons within a 25 miles, but you can adjust the distance in the filter settings to see deals closer or farther away.
How do I filter coupons?
In the Coupon module, you can filter coupons by service type, vehicle, and distance to find the deals that are most relevant to you. To see all available coupons, simply clear the filters.
How do I redeem a coupon?
To use a coupon, simply show it to the service provider when you visit. There’s no need to print or scan it—the provider can apply it directly from the app.
How do I save or bookmark a coupon?
To save a coupon, simply tap “Activate”. The coupon will then be added to your Activated Coupons tab for easy access when you’re ready to use it.
How do I see my used or expired coupons?
All coupons you’ve activated are stored in the Activated Coupons tab. You can search and browse this tab to see your coupons from newest to oldest.
Will I get notified when a new coupon is available near me?
Notifications for new coupons are planned for a future version of the app and aren’t available yet.
Are coupons vehicle-specific?
In the Coupon module, use the sorting or filtering options to view coupons specific to your vehicle. If you have trouble or don’t see what you expect, tap Menu → Help to email us.
Are coupons limited to certain car brands or models?
To see a full list of all available coupons, simply clear the filters.
